Lathing A Basic Cup

 

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a basic cup in Anim8or by lathing.

Load up anim8or and make a new project. Now select the line tool and make a line something like this:

Now make sure the line is selected and go to Build->Lathe... in the Dialouge that comes up select late around the y axis and leave the rest as is.

You should come up with something Like this:

Then if you dont like the way its shaped you can use the non-uniform scale tool and size it how you like it:

Once you get it to the right size you can go to Build->Subdivide Faces... to make everything look nice:

There you go now you know how to use the basics of the lathe tool.
